Brain and Spinal Injuries Nursing

We provide live-in nursing for people who have suffered brain or spinal injuries. Our live-in nurses work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists and NHS staff, to provide a personalised care plan to suit your individual requirements and to provide the best care possible.

Supporting Loved Ones with Brain Injuries

Brain / spinal injuries impact not only the person affected, but also their whole family. If your family member has a brain / spinal injury, you may need to make significant changes to your daily life. Many families find the idea of moving their loved one to a new care facility stressful and will seek to avoid this choice if possible.

Providing care at home allows individuals with brain/spinal injuries to stay in their own surroundings, avoiding the upheaval of adapting to a new care environment.

Live-In Nursing for Individuals with Brain / Spinal Injuries

Home-based care lightens the load on other primary caregivers, offering them essential respite. This becomes particularly important when an injury is sudden and families have had to quickly adjust to new routines and caregiving responsibilities. Support from skilled nurses is indispensable in these situations.

Our live-in nurses deliver customised, continual support tailored to the specific needs of your relative. Effective rehabilitation depends on a detailed understanding of these needs, which is why a personalised care profile (care plan) is developed after an initial assessment, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals (where applicable).

Our live-in nurses are experienced in addressing both the physical and emotional needs of those with brain / spinal injuries. They manage essential tasks such as personal hygiene, administration of medication, meal preparation, supra-pubic and urinary catheters, range-of-motion exercises and pain relief and control. This comprehensive approach ensures that all aspects of your relatives well-being are catered to, promoting an environment conducive to recovery.

Our live-in nurses and live-in carers can provide promotion of independence, expertise in moving and manual handling, early detection and prompt treatment of infection, monitoring and regulation of bowel movements, assistance with supra-pubic and urinary catheters, and PEG feeds.
