Sensitive personal care: Assisting with daily tasks such as washing, dressing, grooming, and continence care, while maintaining your loved one’s dignity and comfort. As MND progresses, our carers offer more hands-on support to ensure personal hygiene is maintained.
Mobility support: Helping with safe transfers, such as moving from bed to chair, and supporting the use of mobility aids to maintain independence as much as possible.
Medication management: Our carers are trained in medications management. They ensure medications are taken on time, prescriptions are available when needed and medication regimes are closely monitored and managed, with oversight from a Care Consultant local to you.
Respiratory support: Assisting with the management of breathing difficulties, including the use of devices such as CPAP or BiPAP machines to support respiratory function.
Feeding and nutrition: Preparing meals that meet dietary requirements, and offering assistance with eating and drinking, especially if swallowing becomes difficult. We ensure your loved one receives adequate nutrition to support their well-being.
Emotional support and companionship: Providing reassurance, companionship, and emotional care, helping your loved one cope with the psychological elements of living with MND.
Household support: Taking care of day-to-day household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping, so your loved one can focus on their well-being.
End-of-life care: We provide compassionate palliative care, ensuring your loved one is comfortable and receives the highest level of care to manage symptoms and maintain quality of life.
